A fee paid in advance of any services rendered. Specifically that unethical practice of obtaining a fee in advance for the advertising of property or business for sale, with no obligation to obtain a buyer, by persons representing themselves as real estate Agents/Agencies, or representatives or real estate firms.
A fee charged by a broker to a seller to cover all or a portion of the broker's costs of promoting the property.
