AINA is a French-based NGO based in Kabul dedicated to developing an independent Afghan media. The word "Aina" means mirror, which expresses the goal of the overall project.

Aina, (Urdu: آئینہ) also known as The Mirror, is a 1974 Pakistani film directed by Nazrul Islam. The film starred Shabnam and Nadeem in the lead roles and holds the distinction for being the longest running Pakistani film on record. The film ran to packed crowds in theaters across China as well.
