The maximum amount of oil or gas a well or field is permitted to produce per day. It is typically set by state regulating agencies, after considering the economic market for the product, the maximum efficient rate (MER), and other factors.
SALE QUANTITY (ASQ) – The quantity of timber that may be sold from an area covered by a forest plan during a time period that the plan specifies. Each forest plan that provides for a timber sale program must establish a standard that sets the ASQ. The ASQ is a ceiling. It is not a future sale level projection or target and does not reflect all factors that may influence future sale levels.
