AMERICAN LAND TITLE ASSOCIATION. The more complete and extensive policy of land title insurance that most lenders insist upon. It involves a physical inspection and often guarantees the property's boundaries. Lenders will often insist on an ALTA policy with themselves named as beneficiaries.
