During recording and playback, you do not need to worry about having to turn the tape after finishing one side, thanks to Auto Reverse. A very useful feature that prevents you from missing out important parts during recording.
This is a mechanical refinement of cassette player design that allows the machine to play both sides of the tape without the listener having to turn it over. In a compact machine like a Walkman, this is done using a special four-track head. Auto reverse greatly increases to complexity of a cassette player so it is usually found only on more expensive models, such as the WM-7. However, the inclusion of auto reverse does lead to some compromises having to be made in the design of the rest of the machine and precludes really accurate adjustment to the deck, so it is not found on serious professional machines such as the TC-D5, WM-D6 or WM-DC2. When you reach the end of the tape this feature automatically plays the reverse side.
This feature allows the user to play both sides of the cassette without having to remove it and turn it over manually.
Feature of a cassette player that automatically plays the reverse side of a tape when one side has reached the end.
To help prevent paper jams, the paper shredder will automatically reverse, momentarily, if an overfeed occurs. This is accompanied by an audible and visible warning. This feature is available on select models as part of the complete electronics package.
