Definitions for "Backface Culling"
Keywords:  culling, polygon, render, hidden, 'bfc
Detecting backwards-facing elements in a 3D object for the purpose of eliminating them from the rendering task. These backwards-facing elements are unnecessary because they are not seen by the camera and eliminating them speeds up render time. LDraw file extensions for 'BFC' were never formally decided upon.
(n) In rendering, a preprocessing step that removes all faces of the model that will be completely hidden from view.
Discards invisible back-facing polygons that can be eliminated from the list of polygons that need further 3D rendering processing.
