Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council BBSRC is one of the seven UK government Research Councils. The BBSRC's purpose, as embodied in its Mission Statement is to sustain a broad base of interdisciplinary research and training to help industry, commerce and Government create wealth and improve the quality of life. The Council fosters multi-disciplinary approaches; there are opportunities for contributions from chemists, physicists, agricultural scientists and engineers, as well as biologists.
