BIX is one of the oldest and famous rock bands in Lithuania. They got together in 1987 in Å iauliai and in a few months became a cult band. After a period of intensive touring throughout Europe and the US they were the most experienced Baltic band, and probably the best known in the West.

The online commercial information service called the BYTE Information Exchange, although I have never heard anyone use the full name in favor of BIX.
