A type of call transfer. A party in an existing telephone call, the transferring party, requests that the existing telephone call be transferred to a new party. The transferring party ends its participation in the call without waiting to speak to the new party. Contrast with screened transfer.
Call transfer in which the transferring phone connects the caller to a destination line before ringback begins. For example, an auto-attendant uses blind transfer to redirect calls once it receives an extension number.
Call transfer method in which a call control function places a second call and then disconnects its port from the PBX before call placement is resolved, connecting the original call.
