Definitions for "Bookbuilding"
A modern procedure for the issuing of shares. Before the shares are subscribed, no fixed price but instead a price-band is fixed within which the shares can be taken up. Book-building is sub-divided into the pre-marketing phase with roadshows, the subscription phase and the allocation phase during which the price of the shares and the investors who are going to receive them are defined.
