Definitions for "CARBON-IN-LEACH"
A gold recovery process in which a slurry of gold-bearing ore, carbon and cyanide are mixed together. The cyanide dissolves the gold, which is subsequently absorbed by and separated from the carbon.
a recovery process in which a slurry of gold ore, free carbon particles and cyanide are mixed together. The cyanide dissolves the gold from the ore into a solution, and simultaneously the gold is adsorbed onto the carbon. The carbon is subsequently separated from the slurry to recover the gold.
Gold is leached from a slurry of gold ore with cyanide in agitated tanks and adsorbed on to carbon granules in the same circuit. The carbon granules are separated from the slurry and treated in an elution circuit to remove the gold.
