Definitions for "CHD"
Congenital Heart Defect. Congenital means "existing at birth." Such a defect exists when something has gone wrong during the embryonic development of the heart. CHD affects 1% of all live births.
Congenital heart defect. A condition, existing at the time of birth, in which the heart or its major blood vessels are not formed properly and do not work as they should.

Canine hip dysplasia. (Skeletal) Abnormal development of the hip assembly wherein the head of the femur does not fit snugly into the pelvic socket. Special Diagnostics: hip radiograph.
