A child demonstrating one or more of the following: autism, deaf-blindness, mental retardation, hearing impairments (including deafness), speech or language impairments, visual impairments (including blindness), emotional disturbance, orthopedic impairments, other health impairments, early childhood developmental delay, traumatic brain injury, or specific learning disabilities; and who by reason thereof, needs special education and related services.
A child evaluated as having mental retardation, a hearing impairment including deafness, a speech or language impairment, a visual impairment including blindness, emotional disturbance, an orthopedic impairment, autism, traumatic brain injury, another health impairment, a specific learning disability, deaf-blindness, or multiple disabilities, and who as a result of the disability needs special education and related services.
