Exists when the borrower is entirely responsible for repayment of the loan without support from the borrower's country. Repayment of the loan can also be guaranteed by a commercial bank or other third party considered to represent a commercial risk.
The risk an exporter takes in relation to an open account sale to a foreign buyer, since the buyer may be unable to pay for the merchandise.
The risk that a debtor will be unable to meet its financial obligations as a result of business developments.
The risk of Insolvency or Protracted Default by a buyer. This may include the failure to accept goods in export sales (each policy will need to be individually inspected).
Risk of non-payment resulting from the deterioration of a private buyer's financial situation.
