Definitions for "Daresbury"
Daresbury is a small rural village in Halton, Cheshire, northern England. It is covered by the Weaver Vale constituency. The most notable things about Daresbury are that it was the birthplace (some 1.5 miles south of the village) of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland author Lewis Carroll (real name Charles Dodgson), and that the CCLRC Daresbury Laboratory possesses a rather large particle accelerator, the Synchrotron Radiation Source.
