In inter frame (a.k.a. temporal) compression, periodic key frames store all the information that comprises a frame, while delta frames store only the information that changes from frame-to-frame in between key frames.
Also called Difference Frame in a compressed digital video sequence. Contains only the pixels different from the preceding frame.
A video frame that contains only the changes from the previous frame. In contrast, a key frame contains all the data necessary to construct that frame. encode To convert audio and video content to a specified digital format. frame rate The number of video frames displayed per second. Higher frame rates generally produce smoother movement in the picture. intelligent streaming A type of streaming that detects network conditions and adjusts the properties of a video or audio stream to maximize quality.
Also called Difference Frame. Contains only the pixels different from the preceding Key Frame. Delta Frames reduce the overall size of the video clip to be stored on disk. Also see Key Frame.
Frames that contain only changes from the previous frame. Delta frames are created by codecs that use temporal compression. Delta frames are also called difference frames.
Frames that contain only the changes from the previous frame.
A frame that only contains data that has changed since the previous frame (an efficient compression method).
