Increase in responsiveness after presentation of a new stimulus. Compare habituation.
A return in strength of a response following habituation to a repeated stimulus. Indicates renewed attention on the part of the organism to a change in the stimulus situation. See also habituation.
The rapid facilitation of a behavioural response (often by a new or noxious stimulus) that has been habituated back towards the initial response levels.
