Dugan is a surname of Irish heritage. The name was first found in County Clare where the Dugan family held a family seat of Irish nobility from very ancient times. Dugan is derived from the ancient Irish surname of O Dubhagain.

Dugan is a lunar crater that is located on the northern part of the Moon's far side. It lies to the southwest of the large Schwarzschild walled plain, and due north of the Compton crater.
