external call interface. A facility that allows a non-CICS program to run a CICS program. Data is exchanged in a COMMAREA as for normal CICS interprogram communication.
External Call Interface. CICS facility that allows a calling program to call a CICS program as though it had been linked to (using the EXEC CICS LINK command) by another CICS program.

A quarterly report from the U.S. Department of Labour quantifying changes in employee compensation in the form of wages and benefits. Calculated based on a fixed basket of occupations. Considered by some investors to be an indicator of inflation.
