Energy produced and substituted for the traditional but less economical source of energy. Economic energy is usually sold without capacity and is priced at variable costs plus administration costs.
Electrical Energy produced and supplied from a more economical source in one system and substituted for that being produced or capable of being produced by a less economical source in another system.
Energy sold on a non-firm basis and subject to recall at the discretion of the selling party.
