A sequestering (chelating) agent with unique properties of neutralizing trace metals (like calcium, iron and magnesium salts, etc.) and other deposits on hair. It is also used as preservative.
an anticoagulant, thinning agent, that is used in the treatment of lead poisoning.
EDTA EDTA Ethylendiaminetetraacidic acid. Chemical used for chelation (removal of transition metals from pulp).
ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, a common chelating agent used for enzyme deactivation and as a bacteriocide.
ethylenediamine tetraacetate
a chelation agent, particularly used for chelating cholesterol/plaque deposits (in the arteries).

ethylene diaminetetraacetic acid
Ethylene Diamine Tetracetic Acid
a binder of metals which are important to the bacterial cell wall
a chelating agent permitted for use in the food industry as a chemical preservative
a chelating agent that binds metal ions to prevent their adverse effects on the appearance or stability of a product
an abbreviation for ethylenediaminetetra acetic acid
thylene iamine etraacetic cid - a chelating (claw-like) molecule used to remove heavy metals and calcium from the human body. It is one way of treating heavy metal toxicity and atherosclerotic deposits in arteries.
calcium disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, an anticoagulant and chelation agent that binds several toxic heavy metals, such as lead.

( Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid) - A sequestering (chelating) agent with unique properties of "neutralizing" trace metals (like calcium, iron and magnesium salts, etc.) and other deposits on hair.
Ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (chelating anticoagulant)

(ethylene-diamino-tetra-acetate) A class of synthetic, phosphate-alternative compounds used to reduce calcium and magnesium hardness in water. EDTA is also used to prevent bleaching agents from becoming active before they're immersed in water and as a foaming stabilizer. EDTA does not readily biodegrade and once introduced into the general environment can re-dissolve toxic heavy metals trapped in underwater sediments, allowing them to re-enter and re-circulate in the food chain. Found in: Conventional laundry detergents.
(Ethylene Diamine Tetraacetic Acid): An organic molecule used in chelation therapy.

EDTA is a popular acronym for the chemical compound ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid. EDTA refers to chelating agent that is widely used to sequester di- and trivalent metal ions. EDTA consists of four carboxylic acid and two amine groups that can all bind to metals.
