Process where the output of a system causes positive or negative changes to some measured component of the system.
Circuit of sensing, evaluating, and reacting to changes in environmental conditions as a result of information fed back into a system; it occurs when one change leads to some other change, which eventually reinforces or slows the original change. See negative feedback loop, positive feedback loop.
A closed loop in which a computer-controlled process generates data that become input to the computer.
Reinforcement which either accelerates (positive feedback) or retards (negative feedback) a process. An example of positive feedback would be the accumulation of glacial snow and ice increasing the albedo of the surrounding region, thus cooling the air, thus accelerating glacier growth. An example of negative feedback would be mountain glacier retreat, eliminating low-elevation (ablation) area, thus reducing the rate of retreat.
a circuit that feeds back some of the output to the input of a system
a circular chain of causation from the physical world to points of decision and back through action to the physical world (system states and flows)
The main Entrainment and feedback loop properties of the GENESIS are Music, "Artificial Awareness", "Artificial Intelligence", and natural dynamics of the system. The "Artificial Intelligence" software, "BIOSOFT" is written so that it looks for trends, densities, intensities, polarities, and relationships to each other and to natural rhythms of the sensed fields. The data is converted to MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) codes that are used to change the musical environment through the Digital Signal Processor. Bio-Entrainment facilitates the dynamic relaxation response. Research has shown that when the body is in a dynamic relaxation state that he/she is able to move freely, feel better, is able to handle life situations with less stress, enhanced chronic pain management, and some evidence shows that the immune system is positively affected. By playing music and allowing a free form of Entrainment the person in the GENESIS is allowed to interact as per their needs to facilitate the desired result, if the intent is relaxation, creativity enhancement, pain reduction, etc.
A loop wherein continued input is fed back into the network to achieve the expected output.
the complex interaction between glands of the endocrine system and the hormones they secrete into the bloodstream. Feedback refers to the timing of secretion and the cessation of secretion at the proper time.
The portion of a circuit whose purpose is to sample the output of a system or component, process the sample and apply the processed sample to the input of the system or component. Feedback loops are employed to either provide control or correction to a circuit, or in the case of an oscillator, to permit oscillation to occur.
The pathway by which a portion of the output of a system or process returns to become a part of its inputs.
a feedback loop is where two or more molecules mutually act upon one another in a cycle. It usually is meant to allow a biological process to efficiently slow down or speed up, depending on the type of feedback loop
bodily system in which the effect of a hormone's action or lack of action is fed back into the system, turning production of the hormone off or on. Humans as organisms
A feedback loop is a system where outputs are fed back into the system as inputs, increasing or decreasing effects — think of audio feedback from an amplifier. The term may refer to social effects; see cycle of poverty.
