Flexible Fuel Vehicle. A car or truck that can run on any blend of unleaded gasoline with up to 85 percent ethanol (E85). If you own an FFV, you do not have to fill up with E85 every time.A computer in the fuel system automatically compensates for the varying levels of ethanol in the fuel to assure optimum performance at all times.
Flexible Fuel Vehicle. Vehicle that operates on a blend of fuel ethanol and unleaded gasoline, containing up to 85 percent fuel ethanol. Should fuel ethanol (E-85) not be immediately available, this vehicle can operate normally on unleaded gasoline.
Flexible Fuel Vehicles - capable of running on any mixture of gasoline and E85.
Flexible Fuel Vehicle - a vehicle that can run on a variety of fuels (most often just gasoline and E85)
Flexible Fuel Vehicle. A vehicle that can operate on any blend of gasoline and alcohol fuel ( methanol or ethanol.)
Flexible Fuel Vehicle. A car or truck that can run on any blend of unleaded gasoline with up to 85% ethanol (E-85). Ford and General Motors offer a number of FFV vehicles—and the State of Nebraska uses many in the state fleet. A computer in the fuel system automatically compensates for the varying levels of ethanol in the fuel to assure optimum performance at all times.
Flexible-fuel vehicle. A vehicle designed to run on more than one type of fuel, usually ethanol, ethanol/gasoline blends or gasoline. Some may also operate on natural gas as well.
A flex-fuel vehicle, a vehicle that runs on an alternative fuel like ethanol or methanol, which can be mixed with gasoline in the same fuel tank (see diagram on my page about alternative drivetrains).
FFVs (flex-fuel vehicles): FFVs have a single fuel tank, fuel system, and engine, but are designed to run on any blend of gasoline and ethanol, up to 85 percent ethanol (a mixture known as E85 that can modestly reduce a vehicle’s global warming emissions such as carbon dioxide). Unfortunately, E85 fueling stations are not available in all states; check the Department of Energy’s Alternative Fuel Station Locator for a list of stations nearest you
Flexible Fuel Vehicle. A vehicle that can operate on either alcohol filers (methanol or ethanol) or regular unleaded gasoline or any combination of die two from the same tank.
