The global assembly cache. This is a location where assemblies can be installed so that they can be shared across applications. For the SSCLI, the GAC is private to a specific installation of the SSCLI code base.
Global Area Coverage; produced by sub-sampling AVHRR LAC imagery to simulate a 5 x 3 km pixel size.
Recorded HRPT data at low resolution (4 km).
See Global Access Control.
global access control. The type of access control that determines whether clients can view any files or directories in the (virtual) server. You can limit access to the entire (virtual) serveraccording to the client usernames, groups, methods of access, IP addresses, security, or any combination.
Global Area Coverage. Denotes the lower resolution data which is recorded for the whole planet and sent once a day to a dedicated reciever).
Global Area Coverage is the term for one-quarter resolution (4km per pixel) AVHRR imagery recorded on tape recorders aboard the NOAA satellites. The limited resolution means that imagery from one full orbit can be recorded. It is later transmitted to one of the NOAA ground stations, in contrast to HRPT which is transmitted in real-time. global assembly cache. A container on a BizTalk server for a group that holds the same assemblies that are deployed to the configuration database for that group.
