Sir George Turner (8 August 1851 - 12 August 1916), Australian politician, was the 18th Premier of Victoria and a member of the first federal ministry.
George Reginald Turner (1916-1997) was an Australian writer and critic, best known for the science fiction novels written in the later part of his career. He was notable for being a "late bloomer" in science fiction (by the field's standards). His first SF story and novel appeared in 1978, when he was in his early sixties.
George Turner (February 25, 1850 - January 26, 1932) was a United States Senator from Washington. Born in Edina, Missouri, he attended the common schools and served as a military telegraph operator with the Union forces from 1861 to 1865. He studied law, and was admitted to the bar in 1869, commencing practice in Mobile, Alabama.
