Grindhouse is a 2007 film expected to be released in the United States on April 6, 2007. The film is presented as a double feature of two full-length segments, one being a zombie film written and directed by Robert Rodriguez, and the other being a slasher film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, with trailers advertising fake films preceding each segment. Although the filmmakers invoke the term grindhouse, and apply several touches such as a simulated worn out look to the film, it is not meant to be taken as a literal exercise in recreating an actual period grindhouse film.

A term used to describe movie theaters common in the U.S. from the 1950s onward, that specialized in showing, or "grinding out" as many B movies as they could fit into their schedules. The term is also used to describe the type of B movies -- commonly violent, exploitative, or just plain racy -- that were shown in such theaters.

Grindhouse is a fictional character in the Marvel Comics Universe whose first appearance was in Heroes for Hire (2nd series) #1.
