Havoc is an American motion picture produced in 2003 about the lives of wealthy teenagers living in Los Angeles, whose exposure to hip hop culture inspires them to imitate the "gangsta lifestyle" despite the fact that they aren't nearly as street smart or tough as they think their group is. They soon run into trouble when they come face-to-face with a real gang of Latino drug dealers. It was directed by Barbara Kopple and, although it played at several film festivals, the movie did not receive a theatrical release in the U.S., the distributors deciding instead to release the film straight to DVD on November 29, 2005.
