Definitions for "Hiding power"
Ability of a paint to mask the color of the surface to which it is applied.
The ability of paint film to obscure the substrate to which it is applied. Measured by determining the minimum thickness at which film will completely obscure a black and white pattern.
This is a measure of the opacity of a coating and is the ability of the coating to obliterate the substrate. Hiding power can be measured using a controlled test method.
