Intra Venous Pyelogram. A procedure for obtaining x-ray pictures of the urinary system. The technique involves the introduction of a radioopaque, codine-based dye into the kidneys, ureters, and bladder so that they show up well on x-rays. Pyelography is performed to help diagnose disorders of the urinary system.

performing pyelography with intravenous injection of a contrast medium
Intravenous pyelorogram. Specialized x-ray where iodine dye is injected into the vein and a series of x-rays are taken of the kidneys, ureters, and sometimes bladder.

These letters stand for intravenous pyelogram which is a kidney x-ray performed by injecting radiopaque contrast into a vein. Multiple pictures of the kidneys are taken to follow the uptake and excretion of the contrast by the kidneys.
Intravenous Pyleogram - injection of an x-ray opaque dye to enable x-ray inspection of the kidneys.
(Intvervenous Pyelogram Radiography) A form of x-ray that is used exclusively for urinary tract diagnosis.
Intravenous pyelogram aparoscopy Visualization of interior of the abdomen through a scope. A surgical procedure used as the primary means of diagnosing endometriosis; also used to treat endometriosis. A lighted tube is inserted into the belly button through which the surgeon can view the inside of the abdomen. Instruments can be inserted into other small incisions to remove or destroy endometriosis apex Laparoscopy excision; a surgical technique that removes the entire endo lesion vs. ablation, fulguration, or electrocautery
Intravenous pyelogram (also called IVU-intravenous urogram), upper urinary tract evaluation using X-ray and contrast dye to assess the kidneys, ureters and bladder.
Intravenous Pyelogram, an x-ray test using intravenously administered dye for visualization of kidney, ureter, and bladder

Intravenous pyelogram or intravenous pyelography (in-tra-VEE-nus PYE-el-o-gram or pye-LAH-gra-fee). A series of x-rays of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. The x-rays are taken after a dye is injected into a blood vessel. The dye is concentrated in the urine, which outlines the kidneys, ureters, and bladder on the x-rays.
is short for intravenous pyelogram, which investigates the urinary tract (Kidneys, ureters and bladder) using an injection of x-ray contrast. See IVP.
Also referred to as intravenous pyelogram, intravenous urography or excretory urogram. An X-ray of the urinary tract. A dye is injected to make urine visible on the X-ray and show any blockage in the urinary tract.
(intravenous pyelogram) (in-tra-VEE-nus PYE-el-o-gram): X-ray study of the kidneys, uterus, and urinary tract. Structures are made visible by the injection of a substance that blocks x-rays.
(Intravenous Pyleogram) - An X-Ray opaque dye is injected into the bloodstream, and X-Ray images are taken as the kidneys filter the dye from the bloodstream into the bladder.
The use of a dye, injected into the veins, used to locate kidney stones. Also used to determine the anatomy of the urinary system.
