Knox (born Ian M. Carnochan, 4 April 1945, in London), spent his formulative years in Cricklewood, (North London) and then Watford, where he became interested in the guitar at the age of thirteen. He was in various school bands, based at Watford Grammar School, including The Renegades (dress - black shirts and sunglasses), and Knox and the Knight Ryders.
Knox first appeared in the final episode of the fourth season on the series Angel and was a scientist at the law-firm Wolfram and Hart. He became a minor recurring character in the fifth season. Knox is portrayed by Jonathan Woodward, who also appeared in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly.
