Definitions for "Krokus"
Krokus is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Switzerland.
Krokus (also known - by the band in particular - as First Albumhttp://krokusonline.seven49.net/seven49.asp?IDCMainActiv=4791&CathActiv1=138&CathActiv2=676) is the self-titled first album from Swiss heavy metal band Krokus. It was the only Krokus album to feature Hansi Droz and Remo Spadino.
In Classical mythology, Krokus was a mortal man who, unhappy with his love affair with Smilax, was turned by the gods into a plant bearing his name: the crocus Saffron. Smilax is believed to have been given a similar fate and was transformed into bindweed. In one variation of the myth, Krokus was said to be a companion of Mercury and was accidentally killed by the god in a game of discus.
