Loverboy is a Canadian rock group formed in 1980 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Throughout the 1980s, the band accumulated numerous hit songs in Canada and the United States, making four multi-platinum albums, and selling millions of records. They are currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia but Reno and Dean originally met in Calgary, Alberta.
"Loverboy" is a song written by American singer Mariah Carey, Larry Blackmon and Thomas Jenkins, and produced by Carey and Clark Kent for Carey's tenth album Glitter (2001). It is built over a sample of "Candy" by Cameo, who are featured artists on the song. The song's protagonist fantasizes about her "loverboy", and it was released as the album's first single in 2001 (see 2001 in music).
Loverboy was the hit debut album released by the rock band Loverboy in 1980. The album was originally refused by the United States Columbia Records, but after its huge success when Columbia Records Canada produced it, they decided to sign a deal.

Loverboy is a 2005 dramatic film. It was directed by Kevin Bacon and the cast includes his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, as well as both of their children, Travis and Sosie. Thus far it is the only film credit for both the children.
