launch and recovery station
Laramie River Station. Located near Wheatland, WY, LRS is a three-unit, coal-based generating station with a 1,650-megawatt capacity. LRS and its associated facilities are owned by the six consumer-owned participants in the Missouri Basin Power Project. Basin Electric has a 42.27 percent interest in the project and is the operating agent.
LRS is one of three acts that was featured on D Mob's "A Little Bit Of This, A Little Bit Of That" album, along with Gary Haisman and Cathy Dennis. "It's Time To Get Funky" was their only appearance on the set and their only #1 Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart topper with D Mob in 1989.
Linear Recursive Sequence. A periodic sequence of bits generated through the use of a logic shift register with linear feedback, known as a linear feedback shift register. The most common type of sequence used in spread spectrum systems. Given a proper set of feedback taps, the sequence produced can be of maximal length and have certain desirable properties. Such a sequence is referred to as an m-sequence.
