Mark Smith (c. 1950 - ) was a pioneer in radio-controlled model aviation. The son of Rod Smith, an early inventor of R/C equipment, Mark began building hand-launch gliders in the 6th or 7th grade. In his teens he followed his father's footsteps into R/C gliders.

Mark Smith is an auto racing driver, in the 2006 British Touring Car Championship for the In-Front team in an Alfa Romeo 156. Their preparations were hampered pre-season, when a gearbox which was supposed to come ready-to-run was supplied in kit form and not until after the first race weekend. As a result, the team did the first race with an old-fashioned H-pattern box, and skipped round 2 completely.
Mark Smith (born April 10, 1967) is an American former race car driver born in Mc Minnville, Oregon. The son of Evergreen International Aviation founder Del Smith, Mark raced in Indy Lights from 1990 to 1992, finishing 3rd in series points his rookie year and 2nd in 1991, capturing 3 wins along the way. He then moved up to the CART series and finished 22nd in series points in 1993 for Arciero Racing and 19th in 1994 for Walker Racing.
