Originally a small garage company funded by Takara, Medicom gained fame in the early 90's by aquiring old Tokusatsu licenses and releasing high quality 12" articulated and clothed collector dolls. In recent years, Medicom has grown to become one of the major players in the Japanese toy market, expanding to a new 8" doll line, vinyls, and plastic electronic robot toys. They are also notorious for unleashing Kubricks into the world.
