Menispermum (moonseed) is a genus of two species of deciduous climbing woody plant, native to northeastern North America (M. canadense, Canadian Moonseed) and northeastern Asia (M. davuricum, Asian Moonseed). The name derives from the shape of the seed, which resembles a crescent moon.
