Wavy distortion of vision.
awareness of distorted vision
Vision problem in which objects appear distorted. For example, straight lines may appear to be wavy, curved or bent, objects may appear to be larger or smaller than they actually are, or closer or farther away than they actually are. Metamorphopsia is typically caused by conditions or diseases that affect the eye's macula and retina.
The image of the object is brought closer to the viewer optically, for example with a telescopic device that increases the angel of the object making it appear larger.
