Multidimensional [database] OLAP. We prefer to avoid the use of this term, because all OLAPs, are, by definition, multidimensional, and therefore prefer the more explicit MDB.
Multidimensional OLAP; involving the analysis of data in prebuilt cubes that are stored in a proprietary, nonrelational data structure.
Multidimensional Online Analytical Processing. The OLAP analysis provided by a system relying on dedicated, precalculated data sets.
Multidimensional OLAP. A storage mode that uses a proprietary multidimensional structure to store a partition's facts and aggregations or a dimension. The data of a partition is completely contained within the multidimensional structure.
Multidimensional OLAP. This term designates a cartesian data structure more specifically. In effect, MOLAP contrasts with ROLAP. Inb the former, joins between tables are already suitable, which enhances performances. In the latter, joins are computed during the request.
OLAP on Multidimensional models. In MOLAP servers, Data warehouses directly store multidimensional data in special data structures(eg.,arrays) and implement the OLAP operations over these special data structures.

MOLAP stands for Multidimensional Online Analytical Processing.
