Definitions for "Motorama"
Motorama was an auto show staged by General Motors from 1949 to 1961. Motorama (also known as Autorama) was aptly described by New Zealand automotive writer, Maurice Hendry, as "those gaudy carnivals of girls, glitter and gladiolas". These automobile extravaganzas were designed to wet public appetite and boost automobile sales with displays of fancy prototypes, concept vehicles and other special or halo models.
