Netware Core Protocol. The data format of the requests NetWare uses to access files. This protocol includes a variety of facilities such as file access, locking, printing, and job management.
Network Control Program. Special IBM software that runs in a front-end processor and works with VTAM on the host computer to link the application programs and terminal controllers.
Network Control Program. The program in the communications controller that controls data traffic for the host.
NetWare Core Protocol. The service protocol for NetWare used to allow NetWare servers to communicate.. Virtually every service that NetWare can provide has an NCP used to let users send requests for that service and to start the process of delivering the response to that request. The services provided by the NetWare NCPs range from file transfer to directory services lookups. Installing Windows 95's “Microsoft Client for NetWare Networks” allows Windows 95 to talk using this protocol and see Novell Servers.
Network Control Program. An IBM-licensed program that provides communication controller support for single-domain, multiple-domain, and interconnected network capability.
Northern Contaminants Program. The Northern Contaminants Program (NCP) has been developed through consultation with the scientific community, Northern Aboriginal organizations, other governmental departments, and Northern communities. Its goal is to reduce and wherever possible eliminate contaminants in traditional/country food. This goal is supported by involving Northerners in the program, and by providing them with the tools and information for making their own informed decisions on food consumption.
Network Control Program. (Programa de control de Red.)
Network Control Program, a program run on VMS machines to configure local network hardware and remote network devices.
Network Control Point. In virtual private networks, the Network Contol Point is a centralized database that stores a subscriber's unique VPN definition. Highly sophisticated, this database screens every call and applies call processing control in accordance with customer-defined requirements.
NetWare Core Protocol. The file-sharing protocol that governs communications about resource (such as disk and printer), bindery, and NDS operations between server and client computers on a Novell NetWare network. Requests from client computers are transmitted by the IPX protocol. Servers respond according to NCP guidelines. See also: bindery; Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX); Novell Directory Services (NDS)
Noise Compatibility Program. A program developed in accordance with FAR Part 150 that contains provisions for the abatement of aircraft noise through aircraft operating procedures, air traffic control procedures, or airport facility modifications. It also includes provisions for land use compatibility planning and may include actions to mitigate the impact of noise on incompatible land uses and recommendations for amending local land use controls to affect future land uses and development.
IBM's Network Control Program.
Stands for Network Control Program, IBM software that runs in the front-end processor and works with VTAM to link a host computer and terminal controllers.
1. (NetWare Core Protocol) The data format of the requests NetWare users to access files. 2. (Network Control Program) Special IBM software that runs in a front-end processor and works with VTAM on ... more
NetWare Core Protocol. The means by which NetWare clients transmit requests to servers to perform tasks such as read and write files, create queue jobs, login, and logout.
Network Control Program. In SNA, a program that routes and controls the flow of data between a communications controller (in which it resides) and other network resources.
A program that resides in a communications controller that controls the operation of the communications controller.
