Definitions for "NFE"
Narrow Front End. Two types of narrow front ends were used through the fifties. The dual wheel and single wheel. The greater maneuverability of the NFE was eventually put aside in favor of the slight less tippy and stronger Wide Front End. Aside from basic safety, the NFE did not adapt well to the explosion of loader usage since placing a load high in the air required greater lateral stability.
