National Open College Networ k: the national Awarding Body licensed by the QCA; it includes 28 local Open College Networks (OCNs) and covers England, Wales & Northern Ireland
The National Open College Network: the central organisation for the Open College Networks (OCNs) based across the UK. NOCN licenses and audits the OCNs' activities. Most AVAs are also OCNs and are engaged in other types of education and training in addition to Access provision. In this report, these are sometimes referred to as OCN/AVAs.
