Montreal's Olympic Stadium (In French: Le Stade Olympique) was the main venue of the 1976 Summer Olympics and was the home ballpark of Major League Baseball's Montreal Expos from 1977 until the franchise was moved to Washington, D.C. after the 2004 season. It now serves as a 56,040-seat multipurpose stadium for the city.
The Olympic Stadium is the name usually given to the big centrepiece sports arena of the Summer Olympic Games. Traditionally, the opening ceremony and the track & field competitions are held in the Olympic Stadium. Many, though by no means all, of these arenas actually contain the words Olympic Stadium as part of their name.
The Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) is a sports stadium in Berlin. There have been two stadia on the site: the present facility, and one that was built for the aborted 1916 Summer Olympics. Both were designed by members of the same family, the first by Otto March and the second by his son Werner March.
