A computer designed to be exceptionally small and extremely stingy with power. Palmtops are usually very special purpose machines designed to be "accessories" to a more standard desktop computer. A common use for a palmtop is to be a salesman's reference (with latest information about the company's product line, customer information and so on) and allow limited information entry.
