In both BDSM and D/s, this is a term used to describe a person with sexual or activity preferences with all genders and orientations, or an organization or community that caters to all orientations, genders, activities. ["DC's Black Rose organization is pansexual, welcoming anyone and everyone."

A person who is more or less attracted (emotionally, spiritually, and physically) to persons of either sex, regardless of their gender identity. Contrast with Bisexual.
