Peanuts is a syndicated daily and Sunday comic strip written and illustrated by Charles M. Schulz, which ran from October 2, 1950, to February 13, 2000 — the day after Schulz's death. The strip was one of the most popular and influential in the history of the medium.

A personal favorite of mine - and the birds. Peanuts can be purchased shelled or unshelled; split into hearts, ground into bits, or whole; and in the form of peanut butter. In any case they are met with a flurry of winged activity at backyard feeders.
