The Quayside is the area along the banks of the River Tyne between the cities of Newcastle upon Tyne and Gateshead in North East England. The Gateshead side of the river is also referred to as Gateshead Quays. In recent years, the area has been heavily invested in to provide a modern environment for Modern Arts, Music, Housing, Culture as well as bars and night clubs to coexist.
