Definitions for "Recertification"
Retesting of equipment to return it to an original standard or calibration. In infrared, it is spoken of in two ways. If the infrared system is being used to produce calibrated data, it must be recalibrated to a secondary standard regularly. When high pressure containers are used to hold the cryogen, they must be recertified to hold the required pressure, either every three or every five years. See the notice on the cylinder.
The process in which educators renew their full certificate(s) at least every five years by demonstrating successful completion of an individual professional development plan
The process of renewing a prior authorization obtained through a health insurance company for a specific product or service. This process is often an abbreviated version of the prior authorization process. See prior authorization for more information.
