Definitions for "Schematics"
A conceptual design developed at the beginning of a project which demonstrates a design approach or strategy.
Preliminary design drawings that are conceptual in nature. Rooms or departments may be indicated by graphic ”bubbles.” Typically, no doors, casework, or other details (like sinks) are indicated at this level of the design. Drawings general are ‘free-hand’ sketched (not hard-lined like CADD).
Preliminary architectural drawings and sketches; basic layouts not containing the final details of design.
