Semiramis was a legendary Assyrian queen, also known as Semiramide, Semiramida, or Shamiram in Aramaic. Many legends have accumulated around her personality. The legends narrated by Diodorus Siculus, Justin and others from Ctesias of Cnidus make a picture of her and her relationship to king Ninus.
Semiramis is an Italian teen-ager progressive rock band who produced one LP in 1972, Dedicato a Frazz, which is considered one of the best records of the genre. Both the cover and the music have been described as bizarre and surrealist.
